WoodTech PU is a 2K (two-component) system — the hardener must be mixed in the EXACT ratio specified (typically 10:1 by volume for clear coats). Even a 5% deviation in hardener ratio can cause problems: too much hardener makes the film brittle and yellow over time, too little causes soft, tacky films that never fully cure. Mix only what you can use within 4-6 hours (pot life). Sand between coats with 320-grit for gloss finish or 400-grit for satin/matte. Apply in a dust-free environment — PU finishes are notorious for trapping airborne dust particles in the wet film, which become permanently visible under the clear topcoat.
