Heat-Resistant Coating

Heat-resistant and solar-reflective coating is an increasingly important service in Kolkata, where summer temperatures regularly exceed 40 degrees Celsius and rooftop surface temperatures can reach 70-80 degrees, making upper-floor apartments uncomfortably hot and driving up air-conditioning costs significantly. At Islamia Paints & Decor, we offer two complementary types of heat management coatings: solar-reflective roof coatings that reflect a significant portion of the sun's infrared radiation (the heat-carrying portion of sunlight) back into the atmosphere, keeping the roof surface and the spaces below significantly cooler; and high-temperature-resistant coatings for industrial applications where surfaces are exposed to direct heat from furnaces, boilers, chimneys, hot water pipes, and industrial process equipment. Our solar-reflective coatings include Berger Cool Roof, Asian Paints SmartCare RoofGuard, and specialised elastomeric roof coatings with high solar reflectance index (SRI) values that can reduce roof surface temperature by 15-25 degrees Celsius compared to conventional surfaces. These coatings are applied as a liquid that cures to form a seamless, flexible, and UV-resistant membrane that reflects heat while also providing waterproofing protection — making them a dual-benefit solution for Kolkata's flat concrete rooftops. For industrial heat-resistant applications, we apply silicone-based, epoxy-silicone hybrid, or aluminised coatings that can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures ranging from 200 to 600 degrees Celsius depending on the product and system selected. These are used on chimney exteriors, boiler casings, industrial ovens, exhaust ducting, and metal surfaces near high-temperature equipment. Our heat-resistant coating service includes a detailed assessment of the surface condition and temperature exposure, surface preparation (including removal of any existing coating that is not compatible), primer application where required, and the specified number of topcoats to achieve the desired performance.
